Help Veterans Today
KanVets United is dedicated to providing relief for poor, distressed and underprivileged veterans in the Wichita, Kansas area.
KanVets United Foundation works with any local veteran in need. KanVets also works directly with the Bob Dole VA’s HUD/VASH team. We step in situations where the VA cannot help, and we do all we can to insure veterans stay in their current housing or get new housing to avoid homelessness via rental assistance, utility assistance and mortgage assistance. All donations go DIRECTLY to veterans in need as we are all volunteers at KanVets United Foundation!

More Donations to the VA
We donated items for homeless vets moving into new homes.
KanVets United donated items for homeless vets moving into news homes at the Wichita, KS VA. Items include pillows, sheets and coffee pots with Linda Gracey from the Homeless Division of the VA, as well as cooking utensils, kitchen towel sets, dish soap, laundry detergent, brooms, mops, trash can bags, pots, pans, bath towels, rugs and more.
Food for Vets
At KanVets United, we have been busy serving our local heroes since we began in March, 2020.
KanVets supplied almost 1,000 sandwiches to veterans who had recently moved into housing at the beginning of the Covid shut down.
(A BIG THANK YOU to Livingston’s Diner for being so helpful with this project!)
Over $1000 in grocery and gas gift cards have been donated.
(We also give them a Bible when we give them a gift card – these Bibles were donated by one of our generous donors and Biblica, the International Bible Society)
Finding Care for Vets
Arrangements were made to get a Veteran who was living in a parking lot in Hutchinson to the Wichita VA.
Here is a quote from our contact at the VA:
“Just wanted to give you guys an update… the veteran made it safely to the VA, got checked out and is now fed and resting comfortably at our shelter and we can start working a housing plan for him. Your help was invaluable to this veteran as he is now safe, cool and knows where his next meal is coming from. Thank you for helping connect this veteran to us today!”

A birthday party was held for a 4 yr old son of a veteran and we provided a bicycle and some clothes for his gift.
Appliances for Vets.
KanVets has provided furniture and appliances for multiple veterans in need as they celebrated moving into their new homes, along with aid in appliance repair.

This project began in the middle of March, 2020 when the Corona Virus (COVID-19) started affecting our Kansas community. We currently provide finacial aid and assitance to local veterans in need wokring with other non-profits, and also working direclty with the Bob Dole, VA in Wichita, KS. Learn more below!
